Application Description

Carplounge Autopilot / Raymarine Element App for RT7 & RT4 V4

Enhance your fishing experience with the Carplounge Autopilot, which revolutionizes the way you control your BaitBoat. Instead of using a traditional remote control, the Carplounge Autopilot leverages the power of an Android tablet or phone. The essential software, available for free on the Google Play Store, is compatible with any Android device equipped with Bluetooth. By connecting your tablet to the boat through a Bluetooth transmitter box, you can seamlessly manage your BaitBoat using an intuitive touchscreen interface.

In manual mode, the operation is similar to that of a standard BaitBoat, but with the added advantage of steering via the touchscreen. The app provides real-time updates on the boat's position, route, and orientation, thanks to its integrated compass functionality. Furthermore, the app allows you to save and label promising fishing spots detected by the echo sounder using the built-in GPS. You can name these spots, such as "jetty left", "spot 1", "home", and more, for easy reference.

Switching to autopilot mode opens up a world of possibilities. You can select and combine multiple points into a route, complete with specific actions at each location. These actions include opening the left or right hatch, releasing bait from either side, or even turning on the boat's lights. For example, you can set up a sequence like: 1.) Navigate to the "Sandbank" position and open the right hopper upon arrival; 2.) Proceed to "Spot 2" and open the left hopper; 3.) Return to your fishing spot and signal with a blink. Once programmed, the boat will autonomously follow this route, allowing you to store an almost limitless number of spots and routes. The app utilizes cutting-edge measurement technology, including position and acceleration sensors, along with the latest GPS and compass technology, to ensure route guidance with 90% accuracy within 30cm.

The Carplounge Autopilot also intelligently manages line tension when deploying multiple rods to different spots simultaneously. The built-in electronics detect any line tension during movement, and the boat adjusts its course accordingly to maintain a direct path to the target without unnecessary deviations, thus avoiding line bends.

While the autopilot replaces the traditional remote control, we offer the flexibility to connect a remote control to the system. This allows you to choose between controlling the BaitBoat via your tablet or a physical remote. The app is optimized for 10-inch Android tablets and supports touchscreen steering.

Our commitment to enhancing your experience is reflected in our ongoing development of the app, available for free via the Google Play Store. Automatic software updates ensure that new features, modifications, and expansions are readily available without the need to return your autopilot or boat for servicing. The Carplounge Autopilot app updates automatically, just like other apps on your tablet or smartphone.

This app is designed exclusively for use with the RT7 & RT4 V4 models.
