Dive into the timeless fun of Classic Tri Peaks solitaire, a beloved card game that goes by many names such as Three Peaks, Tri Towers, or Triple Peaks. This engaging solitaire variant uses a single deck, and your goal is to strategically clear three peaks formed by an intricate layout of cards.
The game kicks off with eighteen cards dealt face-down to create three pyramids, each with three overlapping tiers. On top of these pyramids, you'll find ten cards facing up, setting the stage for your challenge. The rest of the deck, consisting of twenty-four cards, forms the stock. The first card from this stock is placed into the waste pile, marking the beginning of your journey.
To conquer the peaks, you'll move cards from the tableau to the waste pile. The trick? The card you select must be either one rank higher or one rank lower than the top card of the waste pile, regardless of suit. Watch as you weave through sequences like 7-8-9-10-9-10-J-10-9-8, and so on, until your strategic path hits a pause. As you clear cards, any face-down cards that are no longer covered will be turned up, revealing new opportunities to progress.
