Application Description

For those managing diabetes, the FreeStyle LibreLink app offers a seamless way to monitor your glucose levels with the FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors. With the FreeStyle Libre 2, you can now enjoy the convenience of automatic glucose readings updated every minute directly in the app. This feature, combined with alerts for low or high glucose levels, ensures you stay informed and can react promptly to your body's needs.

The FreeStyle LibreLink app is packed with features to help you manage your diabetes effectively:

  • View your current glucose level, trend arrow, and historical data at a glance.
  • Receive timely alarms for low or high glucose levels when using the FreeStyle Libre 2 system sensors.
  • Track your food intake, insulin usage, and exercise by adding notes.
  • Access insightful reports like Time in Range and Daily Patterns to better understand your glucose trends.
  • Share your glucose data with your healthcare provider and family members, with your consent.

Before you start, ensure your smartphone is compatible with the app. You can find a list of compatible devices at FreeStyleLibre.com.

If you use both the app and the FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, remember that alarms can only be received on one device at a time. To receive alarms on your phone, start the sensor with the app; for the reader, start it with the reader. Note that the app and reader do not share data, so to get a complete picture of your glucose levels, scan the sensor every 8 hours with the device you're using. You can upload and view data from all your devices at LibreView.com.

The FreeStyle LibreLink app is designed to measure glucose levels in people with diabetes when used with the appropriate sensor. For detailed instructions on using the app, refer to the User Manual accessible through the app itself. If you need a printed version, reach out to Abbott Diabetes Care Customer Support. Always consult with a healthcare professional to determine if this product suits your needs and to discuss any treatment decisions.

For more information and to explore additional resources, visit FreeStyleLibre.com. Remember, while using the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you'll need access to a glucose monitoring system as the app itself does not provide one. Also, note that alarms do not include glucose readings, so you must scan the sensor to check your levels. Registration with LibreView is required to use FreeStyle LibreLink and LibreLinkUp.
