Nintendo to Discontinue

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is shutting down! Nintendo recently announced the End of Service (EOS) for this popular mobile game, leaving many players surprised. Let's explore the details.

The Closure Date: November 28th, 2024

Online services for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will cease on November 28th, 2024. This means no more Leaf Tickets, and no more Pocket Camp Club memberships after October 28th (auto-renewals stop then; no refunds, but a commemorative badge will be awarded). Your last chance to grab Leaf Tickets is November 26th. Say your final online goodbyes at 7:00 AM PST on November 28th.

A Silver Lining: An Offline Version!

While online services end, Nintendo plans to release a paid offline version of the game. Features like Market Boxes, gifting, and visiting friends' campsites will be absent, but the core gameplay will remain. All your saved data will transfer. Expect more information on this paid offline version around October 2024.

A Trend of Mobile Game Shutdowns?

This shutdown isn't entirely unexpected, given Nintendo's recent trend of ending support for mobile titles. Dr. Mario World and Dragalia Lost have already met this fate, and Mario Kart Tour is currently in maintenance mode.

To enjoy the game's remaining time, download Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp from the Google Play Store. Stay tuned for our upcoming article on Netflix's Monument Valley 3.
