"Now You See Me 3 Renamed; Sequel Confirmed"

Author : Finn Apr 08,2025

Big news for fans of the Now You See Me franchise: the third installment, officially titled Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025, as confirmed by Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, during CinemaCon. But that's not all—Now You See Me 4 is also in development, promising more thrilling heists and magical illusions.

Director Ruben Fleischer, who has already signed on to helm the third film, will also direct the fourth installment. The franchise, which has grossed $700 million worldwide, continues to captivate audiences with its blend of action and magic.

The first two films featured a stellar cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman. Now You See Me: Now You Don’t will see the return of Eisenberg and Harrelson, joined by new talents Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, and Rosamund Pike.

Fleischer, known for his work on Zombieland, Uncharted, and Venom, expressed his excitement about the project, stating, "Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course, I want to keep it going."

Bobby Cohen, the original developer and producer of the series, will return to produce alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout, with Meredith Wieck overseeing the project for Lionsgate.

Adam Fogelson praised Fleischer's work, saying, "Ruben has delivered all of the twists and turns and sleight-of-hand that audiences expect from this franchise while upping the stakes and scale in every way. We can’t wait for audiences to discover what he’s done with the third film and are thrilled he’ll be making even more magic with us."

Despite the excitement surrounding the new films, IGN's reviews of the previous installments were less enthusiastic. The first film received a 6.3/10, with the review stating, "Now You See Me seemed so promising, but it squanders its cool cast and nifty premise on smarmy, shallow characters and a flimsy, nonsensical plot." The sequel fared slightly worse with a 6.2/10, described as "all flash and no substance."

With Now You See Me: Now You Don’t and Now You See Me 4 on the horizon, fans can look forward to more thrilling adventures and magical performances from this beloved franchise.
