3 Spooky Switch Games to Haunt Your Console

Nintendo Switch to Receive Trio of Frictional Games in 2025

Abylight Studios and Frictional Games have partnered to bring three acclaimed horror titles to the Nintendo Switch in 2025: SOMA, Amnesia: Rebirth, and Amnesia: The Bunker. This collaboration will introduce these chilling experiences to a new audience of Switch players. Abylight Studios will handle the porting process for these three titles.

Frictional Games, renowned for its contributions to the horror genre, has built a legacy with the Amnesia series and other standalone titles. The announcement is exciting news for Switch owners eager for more mature horror gaming options.

The partnership will deliver both digital and physical editions of SOMA, Amnesia: Rebirth, and Amnesia: The Bunker to the Nintendo Switch. These games offer distinct horror experiences: SOMA explores sci-fi themes and existential questions; Amnesia: Rebirth returns to familiar gameplay mechanics; and Amnesia: The Bunker plunges players into the terrifying, semi-open world of World War I.

Horror Games Coming to Nintendo Switch:

  • SOMA
  • Amnesia: Rebirth
  • Amnesia: The Bunker

Further expanding the horror offerings, a physical edition of the Amnesia Collection for Nintendo Switch will also launch later this year. This collection includes the critically acclaimed Amnesia: The Dark Descent and its sequel, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs.

While specific release dates remain unannounced, the arrival of these titles on the Switch marks a significant addition to the console's horror game library. The anticipation is high, and fans eagerly await further updates from Abylight Studios and Frictional Games. This collaboration also raises questions about the potential for a broader range of mature-rated games on future Nintendo consoles.
