Summary

  • The second part of the Blastoise Wonder Pick event has commenced in Pokemon TCG Pocket, introducing new cosmetic rewards.
  • The event shop now features new Blastoise-themed cosmetics, including a Blastoise icon, coin, card sleeves, and a Blue and Blastoise playmat.

Pokemon TCG Pocket has kicked off the second phase of the Blastoise Wonder Pick event, and the in-game shop has been updated with four fresh cosmetic items alongside the standard Shinedust exchange. Players eager to collect all the event exclusives should make it a habit to log in frequently, as the items will be available until January 28, but event tickets will cease distribution on January 22.

Following a bustling holiday period where Pokemon TCG Pocket generously distributed Pack Hourglasses and free boosters just for logging in, the game's event calendar has taken a quieter turn. Many avid players have already amassed all the cards from the Mythical Island booster packs and are now eagerly anticipating the next expansion, rumored to launch by the end of January. The game has confirmed that Pack Hourglasses will be usable in future expansions, prompting many to save them up.

In the interim, Pokemon TCG Pocket has refreshed the Blastoise Wonder Pick Event with enticing new rewards, encouraging daily logins. The event shop now boasts new Blastoise-themed cosmetics, such as a Blastoise icon, coin, card sleeves, and a Blue and Blastoise playmat. Players with extra event tickets can exchange them for up to 1,000 Shinedust, with each set of 50 Shinedust costing one event ticket. The second part of the event will run until January 22, while the event shop will stay open until January 28.

Blastoise Wonder Pick Event Has New Rewards

The first segment of the current Wonder Pick Event started on January 6, introducing two new promo cards featuring Squirtle and Charmander. These cards maintain the same attack stats as their standard counterparts but boast unique artwork. Rewards from the first part of the event, including a backdrop with the trainer Blue and a cover showcasing Blue and Blastoise, are still up for grabs. The event also introduced new missions that players can complete by engaging in special Wonder Pick choices.

Completing these missions earns players Event Shop Tickets. Missions involve participating in the Wonder Pick and collecting Fire-type and Water-type cards. For those who haven't yet joined in, missions from both event parts are cumulative and can be completed at the same time. The Bonus Pick also offers Event Shop Tickets as rewards, simplifying the process of acquiring all the shop items. Daily logins are highly recommended for those aiming to collect all Pokemon TCG Pocket promo cards, especially since rumors suggest that the trade feature won't allow trading these limited cards.
