- Boxing Star, ThumbAge’s popular sports arcade simulator, launches a new update.
- It introduces two powerful MegaPunches—special moves that can overwhelm opponents.
- New Gym training equipment is also available to upgrade your fighter between matches.
Although purists may disagree, one clear advantage of choosing an arcade style over a realistic simulation is that it's simply more fun in the long run. Boxing Star, ThumbAge's hit arcade sports game, blends quirky humor with intense action. Now, players can gain even more knockout power with two brand-new MegaPunches.
MegaPunches are essentially super moves—comparable to Street Fighter’s Critical Arts. Once your Hyper Gauge is fully charged, you can unleash one of these devastating attacks to floor your rival. There’s already a wide selection to choose from, and the two latest additions expand your combat options.
These new MegaPunches draw inspiration from the animal kingdom. Flame Bone, for example, channels the power of a mythical dragon—engulfing the arena in flames and delivering damage based on critical hits. Frost Fang injects ice energy into your strikes, freezing opponents temporarily and dealing damage as long as the icy shield remains active.
Mega! But Boxing Star’s update doesn’t stop at new moves. It also adds fresh training gear for your boxer to use between fights. The Deadlift machine increases skill damage and can be upgraded to level 8, while the Training Timer shortens skill-training durations.
Is it an exact simulation of actual boxing? Not quite—unless you imagine a match between Superman and the Hulk. Still, Boxing Star consistently delivers thrilling, over-the-top content.
