Firaxis Games has exciting news for fans of Civilization 7 (Civ 7), with a detailed roadmap unveiled just ahead of the game's launch on February 11. The roadmap promises a series of updates and new content that will keep players engaged and entertained well into the future.

Ada Lovelace and Simon Bolivar as Paid DLCs

In March, players can look forward to the introduction of two new leaders, Ada Lovelace and Simon Bolivar, as part of the paid downloadable content (DLCs). These additions will bring fresh strategies and historical depth to the game, enhancing the overall experience.

The updates for March are categorized into three types: Content Collections (paid DLCs), Free Updates, and Events & Challenges. Among the free updates, players will be thrilled to explore new world wonders like the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest, adding unique gameplay elements and challenges.

Looking beyond March, Firaxis Games has teased even more content, including two additional leaders, four civilizations, and four more world wonders. While the release window for these exciting additions remains undisclosed, players can also anticipate new events and challenges to keep the gameplay dynamic and engaging. The developers have also promised further content releases in October 2025 and beyond.

In addition to the new content, Firaxis Games has shared a list of planned updates that were not included in the initial launch but are in development. These updates include:

  • Adding teams to multiplayer mode
  • Expanding the number of players in multiplayer mode to 8
  • Allowing players to pick their starting and ending age
  • Creating a wider variety of map types
  • Adding hotseat functionality in multiplayer

While specific release dates for these updates are not yet available, the developers have assured players that they are actively working on these features to deliver them as soon as possible.
