Company of Heroes debuts multiplayer skirmish mode for iOS port

Author : Lillian Feb 25,2025

Company of Heroes, Relic Entertainment's acclaimed real-time strategy (RTS) game, ported by Feral Interactive, is finally getting multiplayer! A recent iOS beta update introduces the highly anticipated skirmish mode.

Relic Entertainment is known for the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War series, but many also cherish their World War II RTS, Company of Heroes. The original mobile version lacked multiplayer, a crucial element now added.

The iOS Company of Heroes page reveals the online skirmish mode beta. Players can battle as various factions, including the Americans, Germans, British (UK), and Panzer Elite (from the Opposing Fronts expansion).

Company of Heroes masterfully blends realistic warfare with accessible RTS gameplay. Superior units aren't guaranteed victory; strategic errors can quickly decimate your forces.

While I've always preferred AI opponents in RTS due to the skill level of some human players, this multiplayer addition is a significant win for fans of the polished iOS version.
