Conan the Barbarian Gameplay Trailer Released for Mortal Kombat 1

Mortal Kombat 1 has been keeping fans on their toes with back-to-back video releases. Just yesterday, the esports trailer teased the iconic T-1000, but it turns out the legendary Terminator isn't the next fighter to join the roster. Instead, fans can look forward to Conan the Barbarian, who will be available next week exclusively for premium edition holders. Today, the MK1 team unveiled a gameplay trailer showcasing this iconic character in action.

Conan embodies the classic Big-Body brute archetype, delivering powerful attacks that likely pack a significant punch. While he may lack agility and speed, his extended sword range could compensate for this, adding a strategic layer to his gameplay. It would be fascinating to see how Conan fares against other heavy hitters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander.

Although Conan's appearance bears a striking resemblance to Arnold Schwarzenegger, his fatality might not leave players as awestruck as some other MK1 fatalities. His finishing move involves drowning the opponent in a pool of acid, which, while effective, lacks the flair and charisma seen in other characters' fatalities. However, Mortal Kombat 1 is about more than just the finishing moves, and Conan the Barbarian is poised to offer an engaging and fun gameplay experience.

If you're a premium edition holder, you'll have the chance to try out Conan next Tuesday. For everyone else, the wait extends until January 28.
