Author : Grace Apr 01,2025

Fans of the acclaimed roguelike game, Dead Cells, have some bittersweet news to digest. Developer Playdigious has announced a delay in the release of the final two free updates for the mobile version of the game. However, there's a silver lining: these updates, named Clean Cut and The End is Near, are now scheduled to launch on February 18th, 2025. Let's dive into what these updates will bring to the mobile gaming experience.

For those familiar with the console and PC versions of Dead Cells, the content of these updates won't come as a surprise. Clean Cut introduces two exciting new weapons: the Survival-focused Sewing Scissors and the Brutality-focused Giant Comb. Additionally, players will meet a new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, who offers the ability to customize your character's head appearance, adding a personal touch to your gameplay.

On the other hand, The End is Near update brings a darker tone with the introduction of new mobs such as the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer. This update also includes new skills and color-less mutations, with highlights like Demonic Strength, which increases your damage by 30% when cursed, and an additional 1% per Curse stack, enhancing the strategic depth of the game.

Dead Cells Mobile UpdatesPlaydigious has consistently enriched Dead Cells with free content over the years, and while the announcement of these being the final updates drew some criticism, the studio's dedication to the game is undeniable. As they shift focus to other projects, these last updates promise to leave a lasting impact on the Dead Cells community.

Mark your calendars for February 18th, 2025, when both Clean Cut and The End is Near will be available for Android and iOS users. In the meantime, if you're new to Dead Cells, welcome aboard!
