EA Launches Playtest for The Sims Spinoff, City Life Game with Friends

Electronic Arts, popularly known as EA, is currently conducting a playtest for their exciting new game, City Life Game with Friends, on Android devices. This playtest is a component of EA's ambitious project, The Sims Project Rene. The goal of this limited-time event is to gather valuable feedback on the game's performance and player interactions, which will help shape the future of this innovative project.

Where Is the City Life Game with Friends Playtest Available?

The playtest for City Life Game with Friends is exclusively available for Android devices. To participate, your phone must be running at least Android 12 and have a minimum of 4GB of RAM. However, participation is not open to everyone; it's limited to specific regions.

The playtest period will run until April 4th, 2025, but the exact end time varies by region. It will conclude at 7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST in Australia, and 3 AM PHT in the Philippines. Once the playtest ends, the game will be unavailable, and you'll need to uninstall it from your device.

Keep in mind, this playtest isn't the full game or a complete representation of the final product. It's a sneak peek into the direction EA might take with this project, showcasing their experimentation with various innovative ideas.

What’s in Store?

Upon gaining access to the playtest, you'll have the opportunity to create a character that reflects your personal style and vibe. The neighborhood is vibrant and full of activities, from browsing new outfits at the Thrift Shop to relaxing at the Café or participating in community events.

Players can collaborate to organize block parties, make wishes at the plaza fountain, and search for hidden collectibles. The game emphasizes social interaction and community building, encouraging players to engage with others through shared interests in art, music, or engaging conversations.

If you're intrigued by this playtest, you can find it on the Google Play Store, provided you're located in one of the designated playtest regions.
