Exoloper: Heavy Metal Action Hits Mobile Next Week

Author : Sadie Apr 06,2025

If there's one thing mobile gaming has been missing, it's the thrill of heavy metal mech action. Fans of the Mechwarrior series, both on and off the tabletop, have long yearned for a true single-player mech simulator experience on their devices. Fortunately, that wait is finally over with the arrival of Exoloper.

Exoloper, which we first covered back in October of last year, plunges players directly into the cockpit of their own personal mech. This isn't your typical overhead strategy game; it's all about intense, first-person, one-on-one mech combat. If you've been missing the Mechwarrior experience on mobile, Exoloper might just be the game you've been waiting for.

Developed by Anchorite Games, the creators of the acclaimed space battle simulator Interloper, Exoloper is set to launch on February 10th. In this game, you'll take on enemy mechs as you fight to liberate your homeworld from the oppressive Commonwealth. You can even try out a free campaign to get a taste of the action before deciding if you want to dive into the premium section for more.

ytJudgement & RetributionThe mech battling genre has always been a niche market. While Mechwarrior enjoyed its peak in the late 90s and early 2000s, the genre has seen limited entries since, with notable mentions being the contentious yet praiseworthy Mechwarrior 5 and Clans. It's surprising, then, to see a spiritual successor like Exoloper on iOS. Although it may not match the depth of the Mechwarrior series in terms of mech simulation, it promises an immersive experience that should excite fans of the genre.

While you wait for Exoloper's release, why not explore other top launches? Check out our regular feature highlighting the top five new mobile games to try this week!
