Fortnite Chapter 6 kicks off with a bang, introducing a new map with unique locations, enhanced movement mechanics, and formidable demonic bosses. Among the new arsenal of weaponry, the Typhoon Blade stands out as a versatile melee weapon perfect for close-quarters combat and boosting mobility. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to acquire and effectively use the Typhoon Blade in Fortnite.

Updated on January 15, 2025, by Nathan Round: The Typhoon Blade has quickly become a favorite for its mobility and effectiveness in close combat. This guide has been updated to include guaranteed methods for acquiring the Typhoon Blade, providing a helpful boost for players struggling to find the item.

How To Get The Typhoon Blade

Looting Typhoon Blade Stands

The most reliable way to get the Typhoon Blade is by looting it from a Typhoon Blade Stand. These stands are scattered around the island at designated spawn points, though they don't appear every game. Key locations to check include:

  • Flooded Frogs
  • Magic Mosses
  • Lost Lake
  • Nightshift Forest
  • Shogun's Solitude

To claim the Typhoon Blade, simply locate a stand and press the Interact Button.

Chests & Floor Loot

For those avoiding high-traffic areas, the Typhoon Blade can also be found in Chests and as floor loot. While this method relies on luck, it's a viable option if the stands in your area have already been looted.

Defeating Demon Warriors

Another way to obtain the Typhoon Blade is by defeating a Demon Warrior. These enemies spawn at active portals around the map, with three appearing each match. They're marked on the map, and defeating them may yield a Typhoon Blade if they're carrying one. Demon Warriors can also drop one of two Oni Masks.

Purchase From Kendo

For a guaranteed acquisition, players can purchase the Typhoon Blade from Kendo using Gold Bars. Kendo is located northeast of Nightshift Forest, but you must first complete all five stages of his Melee Expertise Quests to unlock this option.

Defeating Shogun X (Mythic Only)

To get the Mythic version of the Typhoon Blade, players need to defeat Shogun X at Shogun's Arena. This is a challenging but rewarding method to secure a powerful variant of the weapon.

How To Use The Typhoon Blade

The Typhoon Blade is not just a weapon but also a tool for mobility. It consumes durability with each use, so players must use it wisely to avoid losing it. Here's a quick rundown of its abilities:

  • Passive Ability: Increases sprint speed and reduces stamina consumption while equipped.
  • Attack: Press the Shoot Button to execute a slash attack, dealing 30 damage per hit. Chain attacks for a combo, with the final blow dealing 50 damage. Use in midair for a downward attack that cancels fall damage.
  • Cyclone Slash: Press the Aim Button for a heavy attack, dealing 90 damage and pushing enemies back. This ability has a 10-second cooldown.
  • Wind Leap: During a sprint, press the Jump Button to leap into the air, nullifying fall damage.
  • Air Dash: In midair, press the Jump Button to dash forward, also nullifying fall damage.

Mastering the Typhoon Blade can significantly enhance your gameplay, offering both offensive prowess and mobility advantages in Fortnite Chapter 6.
