How To Find Atomic Batteries With Leads in Atomfall

Securing and depositing Atomic Batteries at The Interchange is pivotal for advancing the main storyline in Atomfall. Fortunately, there are specific Leads that provide valuable clues on their locations. Here are some of the most effective methods I've discovered:

  • “A Fruitful Trade”: This Lead indicates that the Reverend obtained his Atomic Battery from a trader named Molly, located west of Wyndham Village. Molly is known to have another battery and is particularly interested in trading for Molotov Cocktails.
  • “Batteries and All”: Located in the sewer, this Lead hints at the possibility of finding Atomic Batteries in the Druids' castle within Casterfell Woods, southwest of the area. Navigate through the camp to a door flanked by blue fire torches and enter the Castle Ruins. The battery is beside the High Priestess, who overlooks a valley.
  • “Battery Request at the Skethermoor Depot”: This Lead points to a battery at the Skethermoor Vehicle Depot, southeast at coordinates 43.4 E, 74.6 N. Find a blue hatch next to two greenhouses on a hill. Enter, clear out any Outlaws, and head to the room down and to the left. Climb into the room with the red light, squeeze through the vent, and use the key found there to access the room with the Atomic Battery. Remember to take Radiation Resistance to survive the retrieval.
  • “Molly Sold a Battery to the Vicar”: This Lead reveals that Molly sold another battery to the Vicar at St. Katherine’s Church in Wyndham Village. If you've already secured the Reverend’s battery, this Lead can be disregarded.
  • “Revered Got His Hands on a Battery”: A note from Alf leads to the Atomic Battery in the Reverend’s possession at St. Katherine’s Church in Wyndham Village. Upon entering, you'll find the Reverend in the midst of covering up a murder. Use the bargaining option to promise silence and blackmail him for the key to his chest upstairs, which holds the Atomic Battery.
  • “Spare Batteries at the Dam”: This Lead directs you to Atomic Batteries at the Dam in Casterfell Wood, northwest at coordinates 20.9 E, 90.9 N. The battery is in the electrical area on the right side as you face the Dam. Enter the Control Room, pull the Substation Override lever until the right light turns red, and safely retrieve the battery without electrical hazards.

Can You Barter for Batteries in Atomfall? Answered

If you're struggling to find Atomic Batteries, bartering provides another avenue. Molly, for instance, has a battery you can barter for, and other traders might have them as well since their inventory rotates.

When bartering, pay attention to the icons indicating a trader's preference for an item: green for high, yellow for moderate, and red for low. Experimenting with different items before finalizing a trade can optimize your chances of securing Atomic Batteries at a better rate.

How To Extract Atomic Batteries from Robots in Atomfall

In Atomfall, the Protocol deploys formidable, armored robots across the Zone, often guarding key areas or simply patrolling. These robots are powered by Atomic Batteries, which you can claim if you manage to disable them.

The safest method to extract a battery is to target flamethrower-equipped robots from a distance using a rifle. Aim at the red barrels to overheat the robot until it's stunned, then quickly approach and remove the Atomic Battery from its back.

Atomfall is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.
