The Pokémon TCG Pocket Lapras EX Drop Event: A Comprehensive Guide
Pokémon TCG Pocket constantly expands its card collection with new events, introducing fresh variants and cards. This guide covers the Lapras EX drop event, detailing everything you need to know.
Event Dates:
The Lapras EX drop event runs from November 5th to November 18th, 12:59 a.m. ET. Players can participate in special battles for a chance to win new card variants and the Lapras EX card. Additional rewards include Pack Hourglasses, enabling access to more booster packs.
Event Participation:
Ensure your Pokémon TCG Pocket app is updated. Navigate to the Battles tab, select Solo, and choose the "Lapras EX Drop Event" category. Four AI battles await, each using a different Lapras EX deck. First-clear rewards are granted for each battle, with additional chance rewards available through repeated battles.
Decks and Challenges:
The event features four battles with varying deck compositions and challenges. Rewards include Event Hourglasses and Wonder Hourglasses (for Advanced and Expert levels).

Note: While all battles offer a Promo Pack as a chance reward, only the Expert battle guarantees it. All decks are Water-type, making a Lightning-type deck advantageous.
Event Hourglasses:
Event stamina, consumed per battle and replenishing every 12 hours (up to five), can be refilled using Event Hourglasses earned through battle completion.
Recommended Decks and Strategies:
A Pikachu EX deck is highly effective due to the increased damage inflicted on Water-type Pokémon. Consider using Helioptile/Heliolisk or Magnemite/Magneton lines for less rare card challenge completion.
Promo Pack Rewards:
Promo Packs contain one card each: Mankey, Pikachu, Clefairy, Butterfree, and Lapras EX (a new card variant). Lapras EX has 140 HP, the attack "Bubble Drain" (80 damage, 20 HP heal), and a retreat cost of 3.
