How to Join the Monster Hunter Wilds Beta: Dates, What’s Included, & More

2025 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for gaming, with Monster Hunter Wilds launching in Q1. Before the official release, you'll have a chance to experience the game firsthand during the second open beta. Here's a comprehensive guide to the Monster Hunter Wilds second open beta.

Second Open Beta Dates

The Monster Hunter Wilds second open beta will be released in two phases:

  • Phase 1: February 6th, 7:00 PM PT – February 9th, 6:59 PM PT
  • Phase 2: February 13th, 7:00 PM PT – February 16th, 6:59 PM PT

Each phase offers four days of gameplay, providing a total of eight days to explore the game's offerings. The beta will be available across all platforms: PS5, Xbox, and PC (Steam).

How to Participate

This is an open beta; no pre-registration is required. PS5 and Xbox users can download the beta directly from their respective digital storefronts closer to the launch dates. Steam users should check the game's store page for the beta download option.

The highlight of the second open beta is the addition of the Gypceros hunt. All previously released beta content will also be available.
