LEGO has just unveiled its largest Jurassic World set to date: an awe-inspiring T-rex skeleton that stretches over three feet in length. This impressive set features minifigures of Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant, iconic characters from the original Jurassic Park film, where the skeleton is prominently displayed in the visitor center. Priced at $249.99, the set will be available at the LEGO Store starting March 12 for LEGO Insiders (sign up for free here) and March 15 for the general public.

LEGO Jurassic World Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus rex
**Release Date**: March 15 (March 12 for Insiders)
**Price**: $249.99
**Pieces**: 3,145
**Ages**: 18+
**Dimensions**: L: 105cm (41.3in) / H: 33cm (12.9in)
Comprising 3,145 pieces, this set is tailored for adults aged 18 and above, making it more suited for display rather than play. The complexity of the build may challenge younger builders due to advanced techniques involved.
It can be difficult to grasp the scale of this set from pictures alone. The included minifigures of Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler provide some perspective, but at over three feet long when fully assembled, it's truly a sight to behold. The skull design mirrors that of the currently available LEGO T-rex skull set, which my son has built and which looks fantastic. However, the addition of the full skeleton significantly enhances the overall impact of this new set.

The T-rex skeleton features articulated joints, allowing for various posing options. The head can be moved, the jaw can open, and the arms and tail can be positioned as desired. Like many movie-based LEGO sets, it contains hidden Easter eggs to uncover during the building process. Additionally, it includes a display stand and an informative plaque detailing the T-rex's diet, habitat, and other fascinating facts.

While LEGO's Jurassic World collection may not be as extensive as their Star Wars or Harry Potter lines, it is rapidly expanding. Personally, I'm excited to see more adult-oriented sets like this T-rex skeleton become part of the growing lineup.
