In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the choices you make during the Post Scriptum quest can significantly impact your gameplay experience. Here's a detailed guide to help you navigate through this side quest and make the best decisions for your character.
How to Start Post Scriptum in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
To kick off the Post Scriptum quest, head to the Kuttenberg region and find the tavern just west of Kuttenberg city. Speak with Kvyertsolav, who will introduce you to the quest. Your task is to write a letter on behalf of the miners, but be prepared for some unexpected challenges along the way.
Write the Letter
Visit the house in Kuttenberg to assist Kvyertsolav with the letter. Upon entering, select the dialogue option, "Justice is worth more than silver." You'll then have the opportunity to decide how to craft the letter: refine it, write it as is, or make it more aggressive and concise. Despite your choice, the result remains consistent.
After completing the letter, the miners will attempt to kill you. Successfully passing a Speech check can save you and convince the miners to spare your life.
Should You Turn the Miners Over to the Bailiff?
If you manage to escape the miners' wrath, you'll face the decision of whether to turn them over to the bailiff. Choosing this path will abruptly end the quest, earning you a mere 100 groschen. This is neither the most rewarding nor the most satisfying outcome, so it's advisable to avoid this route and instead deliver the letter to Markold.
Should You Help Markold or the Miners?
Next, you'll need to meet with the shaft owner. After speaking with the bodyguard and heading upstairs, you'll have the chance to either blackmail Markold, hand over the letter, or collaborate with him to eliminate the miners. Blackmailing Markold is not recommended due to the challenging Speech check and the immediate quest termination it entails.
Opting to help Markold requires you to kill three miners, which is the least rewarding option, yielding only 60 groschen. Instead, it's better to side with the miners by delivering the letter to Markold as intended. He'll give you seven groschen and direct you to meet the miners north of the city.
Head to the designated spot, wait for the miners, and proceed to their camp to meet Myslibor. When Markold arrives to attack, assist the miners in defeating him. Successfully completing this task will reward you with 160 groschen from Myslibor and the satisfaction of helping the miners escape their harsh conditions.
