Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Dates, Locations, and More!
Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional January events. Let's dive into the upcoming festivities!
Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza spanning three global cities:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
- Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th

This annual event offers trainers exclusive items, unique gameplay, and exciting bonuses. In-person events feature city-specific experiences, including rare Pokémon encounters, increased Shiny rates, and exclusive merchandise. Tickets are required for participation.
Past events have featured legendary Pokémon like Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow. Expect similar excitement in 2025, with rare Pokémon appearances and boosted Shiny chances! In-person attendees can also look forward to exclusive merchandise, themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges.
January Events: Fashion Week and Shadow Raid Day
Beyond Pokémon GO Fest, Niantic announced two additional events for January 2025:
Fashion Week: Taken Over:
- Dates: January 15th, 2025 (12:00 pm) - January 19th, 2025 (8:00 pm) local time.
- Highlights: Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. Encounter debuting Pokémon Shroodle and Grafaiai (from 12km Eggs). Other Shadow Pokémon appearances (Snivy, Tepig, etc.). Chance to encounter a fashionably dressed Croagunk via snapshots.
Shadow Raid Day:
- Dates: January 19th, 2025 (2:00 pm - 5:00 pm) local time.
- Highlights: Five-Star Shadow Raids featuring Shadow Ho-Oh. $5 USD ticket grants eight Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chance, 2x Stardust, and 50% XP bonus from Raids. Boosted Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate. Chance to teach Ho-Oh its signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
