Pokémon Champions is an upcoming battle sim set to release on Nintendo Switch and mobile

Author : Emery Mar 16,2025

Get ready for Pokémon Champions, a brand-new PvP battle game designed for competitive Pokémon fans! Experience the thrill of high-stakes matches reminiscent of the classic Pokémon Stadium series. And here's a bonus: seamless integration with Pokémon Home is planned.

Announced during a special Pokémon Day presentation celebrating the franchise's 27th anniversary, Pokémon Champions is a collaboration between The Pokémon Company and Game Freak. This game focuses on the core excitement of Pokémon battles, delivering a streamlined multiplayer experience perfect for both seasoned trainers and newcomers.

Unlike traditional Pokémon games, Pokémon Champions is all about battling. It offers a refined competitive format built around familiar mechanics: Pokémon types, Abilities, and moves. Strategic depth is key to victory.

One of the most exciting features is Pokémon Home compatibility. This allows you to import your favorite Pokémon from various games into Pokémon Champions, creating your ultimate battle team. While not all Pokémon from Pokémon Home will be immediately available, you'll still have a wide selection of classic and newer Pokémon to choose from.

Pokémon Champions Gameplay

Pokémon Champions will be available on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, supporting cross-platform play. Expect multiple game modes catering to various playstyles, from quick duels to more strategic, in-depth battles.

While a release date hasn't been announced, Pokémon Champions is already generating significant buzz. Keep an eye on the official website for the latest updates. In the meantime, check out our list of the best Pokémon games available on Android and iOS!
