Following its June 2020 announcement and subsequent teasers, skate. is finally available for playtesting on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. While a PC beta launch date remains unannounced, fans can register as Insiders to receive updates.
According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been underway since at least December, possibly even September. However, developer Full Circle continues to encourage registration, as development is ongoing.
To participate in the beta, visit EA's website and register on the skate. page for Skate Insider Playtesting. Early access testers (Insiders) will receive exclusive in-game rewards, including a unique skateboard and stickers, upon the Early Access launch.
skate. is slated for Early Access release sometime in 2025. This marks the franchise's return after nearly a decade since Skate 3, and will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, it's designed as a free-to-play, live-service game promising an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as detailed in a previous Full Circle YouTube interview.
