World of Warcraft's latest six-month subscription reward: Snakes on a Plane (and in Classic!)
World of Warcraft is offering a new pair of in-game rewards for players subscribing for at least six months: the Timbered Sky Snake mount (for retail WoW) and the Timbered Air Snakelet pet (for Classic WoW). These items, inspired by the 2025 Year of the Wood Snake, will be granted by January 31st, 2025, and must be redeemed before January 31st, 2026.
This follows a tradition started in 2018, where Blizzard offers themed rewards tied to the lunar zodiac. Previous examples include the Auspicious Arborwyrm (2024).
The Timbered Sky Snake and Timbered Air Snakelet are available via a six-month subscription purchase, but can also be purchased individually from the in-game shop ($25 and $10 respectively). A separate Timbered Sky Snakelet pet for retail WoW is also available for $10 on the Battle.net shop, but isn't part of the subscription bundle.
January 2025 Six-Month WoW Subscription Rewards:
- Timbered Sky Snake mount (World of Warcraft: Dragonflight)
- Timbered Air Snakelet pet (Cataclysm Classic)
Existing subscribers will also receive these rewards.
12-Month Subscription Bonus:
Twelve-month subscribers receive the above plus additional mounts and pets: Startouched Furline, Gigantic Grrloc, and Charming Courier mounts (retail); Lava Drake mount and Swoopy pet (Classic). They also automatically receive the July six-month reward.
With major content updates planned for both retail and Classic WoW in 2025 (including potential player housing in retail and the continuation of Classic's Season of Discovery), now is an opportune time to secure a longer subscription.
