'Wild Robot' Streaming Destination Unveiled for 2025

"The Wild Robot," DreamWorks Animation's latest offering and reportedly one of their final fully in-house animated films, is a captivating blend of technology and nature. Directed by Chris Sanders (known for "Lilo & Stitch" and "How to Train Your Dragon"), this animated adventure features a stellar voice cast including Lupita Nyong'o, Pedro Pascal, and Mark Hamill. IGN's review hails it as a "tear-jerking and unpredictable animated adventure."

The film has garnered significant awards season attention, receiving four Golden Globe nominations, ten Annie Award nominations (the most of any film this year), and an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature. A sequel is already in the works, with Sanders returning to direct.

About "The Wild Robot"

Based on Peter Brown's novel, "The Wild Robot" is an animated sci-fi adventure following Roz (unit 7134), a robot shipwrecked on a deserted island. Roz must adapt to her harsh surroundings, forming bonds with the island's animals and becoming a surrogate parent to an orphaned gosling.
