The Last Knight is a charming side quest in the Rinascita region of Honkai: Star Rail's Wuthering Waves update. While not as epic as the main storyline, it offers a refreshing glimpse into life beyond Ragna City and provides some worthwhile rewards. This quest is significantly shorter and less demanding than others in the area, making it a quick and enjoyable diversion. Here's a concise guide to help you complete The Last Knight.

Starting The Last Knight Quest

To begin, you must complete Chapter 2 of the main storyline, finishing the "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing" quest. We strongly recommend completing Chapter 2, Act 3 before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests are locked until then. Once finished, head to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven and locate Cosimo. He's near the first house along the main road out of town, easily identifiable by a blue quest marker on your map.

The Night Reveries

This part involves a performance honoring a legendary knight. To participate, you must defeat the Mad Knight. This enemy only appears at night (18:00 to 06:00). Head to the central pool in Egla Town during these hours. The Mad Knight isn't particularly challenging; use your strongest attacks to defeat it.

The Last Knight: Mimic Chests

After defeating the Mad Knight, fly to the tallest tower in town and then to Carlow's location (indicated by the quest marker). He'll be unconscious near a large purple flower. Interact with the flower to be transported to a new area where you must identify real chests from mimics.

The first three chests are genuine. In the next set, only one is real (the second chest in the middle-left). Opening it rewards Astrites and other items, but be prepared to fight the mimic chests afterward.

The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent

Following your encounter with the mimic chests, you'll need to visit two locations associated with the legendary knight. This involves following quest markers and interacting with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby will mention a strange scent. Follow the marker uphill to encounter a unique Chop Chop with invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. We recommend using a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot to parry and stun the Chop Chop effectively.

Defeating the Chop Chop reveals the truth: there was no legendary knight; Mr. Millkeeper and other Windmill Keepers posed as knights to protect the people. This revelation causes Carlow to flee.

Find Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day and find Carlow in one of the town plazas. He'll be confronted by knights who mock him. However, Carlow unexpectedly challenges one to a duel, abandoning his romanticized fantasy and embracing the true meaning of protection.

The quest concludes after Carlow's challenge, rewarding you with Union XP, Astrites, and other resources. The Last Knight will then be marked as complete in the Tales of the Isles event.
