PHASE 10 RULES:

A phase is a specific combination of cards, typically made of sets (cards of the same value), runs (consecutive cards in ascending order), cards of one color, or a mix. As the name implies, there are ten phases to complete.

The dealer shuffles the deck and deals 10 cards face down, one at a time, to each player. Players keep their cards hidden from others.

Completing phases

▪️ Phases must be completed in order, from 1 to 10.

▪️ You must have the entire Phase in your hand before laying it down.

▪️ You may lay down more than the Phase's minimum requirements, but only if extra cards can be directly added to it.

▪️ Only one Phase can be made per hand.

▪️ If you complete a Phase, you advance to the next one in the following hand. If you fail, you must try the same Phase again next hand.

▪️ Phase completion is credited as soon as it's laid down. Winning the hand isn't required for credit, and multiple players can complete a Phase in the same hand.

Note: Even if you have a required Phase in hand, you are NOT forced to lay it down. You must still discard one card at the end of your turn.

Going out and Ending the Round:

After laying down your Phase, work to play all remaining cards from your hand.

Remember: You MUST always draw one card at the start of your turn and discard one at the end.

Scoring a Round:

The round ends when a player lays down their Phase and discards their final card.

Players then total the value of cards left in their hands (fewer is better), scored as follows:

▪️ Five points (5) for each card valued 1-9

▪️ Ten points (10) for each card valued 10-12

▪️ Fifteen points (15) for a Skip card

▪️ Twenty-five points (25) for a Wild card

Your goal is to finish the game with the LOWEST total score.

Finishing the game:

If only one player attempts Phase 10 and completes it, they win immediately. If multiple players complete a Phase that hand, the one who has completed all ten phases and has the lowest score wins. In a tie, tied players replay Phase 10; the first to complete it and discard all cards wins.
