Samsung Notes: Your All-in-One Note-Taking Solution
Samsung Notes is a powerful application for creating, editing, and sharing documents across mobile, tablet, and PC. Collaborate seamlessly with others, annotate PDFs using the S Pen, and enrich your notes with images and voice recordings. Integrate with popular apps like PDF, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint for a streamlined workflow.
Getting Started:
Begin by creating a new note. Simply tap the "+" icon in the bottom right corner of the main screen. Newly created notes will have an ".sdocx" extension.
Protecting Your Notes:
Secure your sensitive information with robust note locking features.
- Navigate to the main screen and tap "More Options" (usually three vertical dots) in the upper right corner. Select "Settings," then "Lock Note." Choose a locking method and set a password.
- To lock individual notes, open the note and tap "More Options," then select "Lock Note."
Enhancing Your Notes:
- Handwriting: Capture your ideas naturally using the Handwriting icon. Your handwritten notes will appear directly within the document.
- Images: Easily add photos by tapping the photo icon. Import, tag, and edit existing images as needed.
- Voice Recordings: Incorporate audio notes using the Voice Recording icon.
- Writing Tools: Experiment with a range of writing tools – pens, pencils, highlighters – each with customizable colors and thicknesses. Use the Eraser tool to remove unwanted content.
Import and Sync:
Import notes and memos from other Samsung devices using Smart Switch. You can also import notes linked to your Samsung account.
App Permissions:
Samsung Notes requires certain permissions to function optimally. Basic functionality is available even without granting optional permissions.

- Optional Permissions: Photos & videos, Notifications, Music & audio, Phone, Microphone, Camera.
