For Mathematical Puzzles Lovers
The Towers of Hanoi, also known as the Tower of Brahma and Lucas' Tower, is a captivating puzzle with a mathematical solution. It involves three rods and a series of disks of varying sizes, arranged from largest at the bottom to smallest at the top, forming a conical shape.
The primary objective of the game is to transfer all the disks from the leftmost rod to the rightmost rod using the fewest possible moves, adhering to these three rules:
- Only one disk can be moved at a time.
- Only the top disk on any rod can be moved to another rod, which may be empty or not.
- A larger disk cannot be placed on top of a smaller one.
The game progresses through levels. Each time all disks are successfully moved to the right rod, the current level is completed, and a new level begins. Each new level introduces an additional disk to the left rod, increasing the complexity of the puzzle.
Upon completing a level, an end-level dialogue appears, displaying the following details:
- The level number that was just completed.
- The time taken to complete the level.
- Whether a time record was achieved.
- A 3-star ranking based on:
- Using the minimal number of moves.
- Completing the level without errors or mistakes.
- Setting a time record.
To win the game, players must successfully complete seven levels.
At the end of the game, a comprehensive results chart is displayed, showcasing the completed levels, their respective times, any records set, the number of correct and incorrect moves, the 3-star rankings earned, and which of the six achievements were achieved. The achievements are as follows:
- The First 3 Stars: Awarded when the player earns their first 3-star ranking.
- 3 Impeccable Levels: Achieved when the player earns a 3-star ranking for three consecutive levels.
- 4 Consecutive Time Records: Awarded when the player sets a time record for four consecutive levels.
- ¡Unstoppable!: Achieved when the player sets a time record for five levels.
- Game Completed: Earned when the player successfully completes all seven levels.
- Best Game Time: Awarded when the player finishes the entire game in the shortest possible time.
We hope you enjoy this engaging mathematical puzzle game.
