Rust Unveils Major Update with Improved Cooking and Farming

Rust, the renowned multiplayer survival game, has just launched a significant update known as The Crafting Update. This patch brings a fresh wave of creativity to the game with a host of new features. One of the standout additions is the culinary workbench, where players can now whip up gourmet meals like grilled chicken legs and enjoy them with a shot of Siberian vodka. Crafting these dishes involves specific recipes, and well-prepared food not only satisfies hunger but also grants stat boosts and gameplay-enhancing modifiers.

Survivors can now take up poultry farming with the introduction of chicken coops. These coops provide a home for chickens and chicks, where they can live, lay eggs, and flourish if properly cared for. Each chick comes with four essential needs: Hunger, Thirst, Love, and Sunlight. Failing to meet any of these requirements can lead to the birds' demise. Chicken meat, a valuable resource, will spoil over time unless preserved in a working refrigerator. Players will find timers on food items to keep track of their freshness.

For those with a penchant for sweets, wild beehives have been added to the game, appearing on trees. Players must delicately extract honeycombs and transfer them to custom hives made from wooden boxes. Dealing with bees can be hazardous, so protective gear, water, or even flamethrowers are recommended to avoid stings. A novel weapon, the Bee Grenade, resembles a jar of honey and, upon breaking, unleashes three swarms of aggressive bees, sending players scrambling for cover.

The engineering workbench has undergone a complete overhaul, introducing a dedicated tech tree for plumbing and electricity. This update empowers players to construct automated systems and expansive factories. Furthermore, the developers have introduced premium servers, exclusively available to players with a Rust inventory worth at least $15. This initiative aims to create a more enjoyable environment by filtering out cheaters and disruptive players, ensuring a smoother gaming experience for dedicated enthusiasts.
