Spawn joins the Mortal Kombat Mobile roster

Author : Anthony Jan 06,2025

Mortal Kombat Mobile welcomes back the iconic guest character, Spawn! This McFarlane-created anti-hero, based on his Mortal Kombat 11 design, is now available. He'll soon be joined by MK1 Kenshi, and this update also includes three new Friendship finishers and a brutal Brutality.

Mortal Kombat Mobile, the popular mobile fighting game, scores a major coup with the addition of Spawn to its roster. He's joined by a classic version of Kenshi from MK1.

Spawn, aka Al Simmons, is a murdered soldier who bargains with the Devil, returning to Earth as a supernatural vigilante with the potential to unleash the Apocalypse.

Created by Todd McFarlane and initially published in the 1990s, Spawn is an Image Comics flagship character and a highly requested guest for Mortal Kombat, having previously appeared in Mortal Kombat 11.

This update brings not only a new Spawn but also a fresh version of Kenshi. While some may dismiss the mobile version, Spawn and Mortal Kombat fans will undoubtedly celebrate this dark anti-hero's return.

Spawn, modeled after his MK11 appearance, is currently available in Mortal Kombat Mobile. The update also introduces three new Friendship finishers, a new Brutality, and challenging Hellspawn dungeons. Download it now on the iOS App Store and Google Play!

A Bittersweet Note: Just before publication, reports emerged of the Netherrealm Studios mobile team's alleged dismissal. Sadly, Spawn's arrival might be the final achievement of this talented, now-disbanded, team.
