"Extracting Items in R.E.P.O.: A Guide"

Author : Hazel May 13,2025

In the thrilling cooperative horror game *R.E.P.O.*, players are tasked with a challenging yet rewarding mission: retrieve valuable items and survive the onslaught of randomly spawning monsters to make it to the Extraction Point. Successfully escaping with your loot not only feels exhilarating but also earns you cash to invest in crucial survival gear, all while keeping the menacing AI Taxman at bay.

The core objective of *R.E.P.O.* is to secure and extract valuable items, which involves reaching the designated Extraction Point where your C.A.R.T of treasures is assessed. A successful extraction lets you proceed to the Service Station, ideally with a hefty sum to spend on upgrades and essentials.

As you delve deeper into *R.E.P.O.*, mastering the extraction process becomes routine. What initially appears intimidating soon transforms into a manageable task as you conquer increasingly challenging levels and confront fearsome monsters.

How to Extract in R.E.P.O.

In your initial foray into *R.E.P.O.*, you'll encounter just one Extraction Point. As you advance to subsequent locations, the number of Extraction Points can increase, with a maximum of four. You can monitor your extraction progress by observing the red number in the right-hand corner of your screen, which indicates both the total number of required extractions and how many you've already completed.

At the start of each level, the first Extraction Point is consistently located near your R.E.P.O. truck, providing a familiar starting point for your first haul. However, navigating to subsequent Extraction Points after your initial drop-off can be more challenging.

After depositing your first C.A.R.T.-load, you'll need to explore the rest of the level without knowing the Taxman's demands or the next drop-off location. This is where your in-game map, accessible by pressing "Tab" on your keyboard, becomes invaluable. While it doesn't reveal everything, it helps you strategize routes and, if playing cooperatively, allows your team to spread out and cover more ground efficiently.

The location of the next Extraction Point becomes clear only upon reaching its vicinity, often signaled by visual or auditory cues. Once you locate it, press the prominent red button to discover whether you've collected enough valuables. If you meet the requirement, place your C.A.R.T within the designated grey area to ensure no items are destroyed.

After completing the required extractions, you either move on to the next point by repeating the process or aim to return to the truck safely. Notably, after the final Extraction Point, you don't need to bring the C.A.R.T back to the truck; a new one will spawn in the next level or location.

Now that you're well-versed in the art of extracting items in *R.E.P.O.*, don't miss out on our other comprehensive guides to enhance your gameplay experience.
