Fixes to matchmaking and anti-cheat: Apex Legends devs shared future plans

Respawn Entertainment has unveiled exciting updates for Apex Legends, focusing on fair play and improved matchmaking. The upcoming changes address player behavior and matchmaking mechanics, promising a more balanced and enjoyable experience.

Matchmaking improvements include visible skill ratings in non-ranked modes and optimized queue times. Respawn is also actively addressing concerns regarding score calculations and restrictions on pre-made squads in ranked play.

On the anti-cheat front, Respawn is aggressively combating team collusion, already seeing a reduction thanks to implemented algorithms. A new penalty notification system will keep players informed about actions taken against reported accounts. Furthermore, the ongoing battle against bots is being strengthened with a new machine learning model designed to detect and prevent bot creation.

Respawn emphasizes its commitment to community engagement, aiming to maintain Apex Legends as a fun and competitive game while upholding its integrity.
