Leaked: Early Battlefield 6 Footage Appears Online

Author : Henry Apr 20,2025

Exciting news for fans of the Battlefield series: early gameplay footage from EA's upcoming Battlefield game has surfaced online, stemming from a closed playtest session. According to TheGamer, a Twitch streamer known as anto_merguezz inadvertently shared footage during EA's exclusive Battlefield Labs playtest, intended for a select group of players to help refine the game. Although the clips are no longer available on anto_merguezz's Twitch page, the leaked footage has found its way onto various online platforms, with Reddit being a primary hub for its circulation.

The leaked footage seems to corroborate earlier teases from Vince Zampella about the game's modern setting, setting it apart from previous entries with historical or futuristic themes. Viewers have been treated to glimpses of intense firefights and the game's signature destructible environments. Initial reactions from the community have been positive, which bodes well for the game, especially following the lukewarm reception of Battlefield 2042 at its launch.

Following the first official unveiling last month, we already had some insights into what to expect from the next installment in the Battlefield franchise. Notably, the new game will feature the return of a traditional, single-player, linear campaign, a feature that was notably absent in the multiplayer-focused Battlefield 2042, much to the dismay of many fans.

EA has set its sights on launching the next Battlefield game within the fiscal year 2026, which translates to a release window between April 2025 and March 2026. As the launch date approaches, we can anticipate more official reveals from EA. Given the current leaks, it seems urgent for EA to unveil more details soon to keep the excitement building and the leaks at bay.

IGN has reached out to EA for further comments on this matter.
