"New Lilo & Stitch Trailer Reveals Live-Action Lilo, Cobra, Pleakley"

Author : Ryan May 07,2025

The highly anticipated official trailer for the live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch has finally been released, offering fans an exciting glimpse into the film. The trailer showcases Maia Kealoha's portrayal of Lilo, bringing a fresh interpretation to the beloved character originally voiced by Daveigh Chase in the 2002 animated classic. Kealoha's performance promises to capture the essence of Lilo, bringing her to life in a new and engaging way.

In addition to Kealoha, the trailer introduces us to Courtney B. Vance as the stern yet endearing Cobra Bubbles, and Billy Magnussen as the quirky Pleakley. Notably, the trailer reveals an intriguing plot twist where Jumba, played by Zach Galifianakis, and Pleakley temporarily adopt human disguises on Earth, deviating from their typical alien attire. Fans also get a brief glimpse of Pleakley in his original alien form, adding a touch of nostalgia.

The trailer faithfully recreates iconic scenes from the original film, including Stitch's dramatic entrance as a falling star, his clever disguise as a dog at the shelter, and the heartwarming moment when Lilo utters the famous line, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten." These scenes are beautifully translated into live-action, preserving the emotional depth and charm of the original.

Lilo & Stitch is set to hit theaters on May 23, 2025, promising to be another cherished addition to Disney's lineup of live-action remakes. This release comes shortly after the premiere of the live-action Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs on March 21, 2025, continuing Disney's trend of reimagining its classic tales.
