Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, has issued a heartfelt message following a near-fatal incident. Last week, he was found "barely alive" in his Atlanta hotel room.

A video posted on a GoFundMe page, which has already raised over $174,000 for his medical expenses, reveals Johnson was in a coma. He expressed profound gratitude for the outpouring of support: "I found out there's a lot of love in this world that I didn't know was out there, and I'm grateful to each and every one of you."

The incident occurred while Johnson was in Atlanta for a National Alzheimer's Foundation benefit. His absence from the event triggered alarm, leading his wife to contact the hotel. Security personnel and EMTs found him with a barely detectable pulse.

Johnson recounted the ordeal: "Rumors of my demise, well they weren't exaggerated. It was very close, very close. But I'm still here." He credits his wife's quick thinking and the actions of his son, friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker, and the GoFundMe campaign for saving his life.

He extended his thanks to the National Alzheimer's Association, Ted Leonsis (who donated $25,000), Bethesda, and his countless fans for their support. "You say that I'm your friend. I am," he said to Bethesda. "Always will be. Love you guys." He reassured his fans, "I love you all. I'm not going anywhere."

While acknowledging a long road to recovery, Johnson remains optimistic: "It's going to be a while as I work my way back, but I'm coming back. I look forward to seeing and having you all hear me then. Cheers."

Johnson's extensive voice acting career spans video games, film, and television, with a significant portion dedicated to Bethesda titles. His recent roles include Ron Hope in Starfield, alongside previous iconic characters like Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, and numerous Daedric Princes and other memorable figures across the Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises.
