EA Play to Drop 2 Games in February 2025

Attention all EA Play subscribers: mark your calendars because two popular titles are set to leave the service in February 2025. EA Play, EA's own subscription service, offers its members access to free game trials, a vast library of games, and a host of other perks. This service can be subscribed to on its own or comes bundled with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, making it a valuable asset for gamers looking to explore a diverse range of titles from the EA catalog.

EA Play boasts an extensive library that includes both classic hits and the latest releases, ensuring subscribers have plenty to choose from. However, just like other subscription services, the lineup isn't static, and occasionally, games are removed. In February 2025, EA has confirmed that two games will be departing the EA Play lineup: Madden NFL 23 will be removed on February 15, and F1 22 will follow suit on February 28. It's important to note that while these games are being taken off the EA Play service, their online multiplayer features aren't shutting down immediately. Nevertheless, EA Play subscribers should take advantage of these games while they can, as online shutdowns will likely occur in the future.

List of Games Leaving EA Play Soon

  • Madden NFL 23 - February 15
  • F1 22 - February 28

In addition to the departure of these two titles, February 2025 brings more challenging news for EA fans. The online services for UFC 3 will be discontinued on February 17. While it's uncertain whether UFC 3 will remain accessible through EA Play after this date, the loss of its online features will significantly impact the game's experience. Therefore, EA Play subscribers may want to prioritize playing UFC 3 before this change takes effect.

Despite these removals and shutdowns, there's a silver lining for EA Play members. The service will continue to offer the latest installments in these franchises, with Madden NFL 24, F1 23, and UFC 4 remaining part of the EA Play library post-February. Moreover, UFC 5 is set to join the lineup on January 14, providing subscribers with fresh content to enjoy. While it's always disappointing to see games leave subscription services, the availability of newer versions can help ease the transition and keep the gaming experience exciting.
