How to Complete All Arata Stages in GHOUL://RE
After extensive trial-and-error, we've unlocked the secrets to all three Arata stages in *GHOUL://RE*. While these stages don't demand high gaming skills or extensive exploration, they require substantial **Reputation grinding**—and we mean a lot!
Arata Stage 1 in GHOUL://RE
To start, you need to gather **25,000 Reputation** points and reach the highest rank of **Special Investigator** in the C.C.G. organization. Head to the **Commission of Counter Ghoul** (C.C.G. center) and find **Damiro D. Mado** on the second floor. He'll assign you the Arata Stage 1 quest, which involves collecting **10 one-eyed fragments** and **10 Kokuja fragments**.

The quickest way to obtain these fragments is by defeating bosses like **Eto and Tatara**, as shown below, and then crafting them at a workstation. To check your Reputation, talk to **Saiyo Natsuki**, the NPC in a black suit and tie. Once you have **all 20 fragments**, convert them into **five one-eyed Kokuja fragments** at the crafting table. If you struggle with bosses, our *GHOUL://RE* Boss and raid guide can help you dominate.

Return to **Damiro**, who will then direct you to speak with "him." This cryptic instruction puzzled the *GHOUL://RE* community until it was discovered that "he" is **Black Reaper of Doom And Despair**, hiding in plain sight. Our guide on **NPC locations in *GHOUL://RE*** can help you find him and others effortlessly.
Arata Stage 2 in GHOUL://RE
For **Arata stages 2 and 3**, you must play in **permadeath** (PD) mode to unlock the legendary armor. We recommend teaming up with reliable and strong players, as solo missions can be frustrating.
After accumulating **100,000 Reputation points**, take the elevator in the C.C.G. building to **the Laboratory**. There, speak with **Black Reaper of Doom And Despair**, the man with a scalpel in a black suit by the door.

Hand over the **five one-eyed Kokuja fragments** along with your 100,000 Reputation, and you'll complete Stage 2, securing the **Arata-Proto armor**. Despite rumors suggesting lower Reputation requirements, our experience confirms that **100,000 Reputation points** guarantee success.
Remember, you must play the second and third Arata Stages in **PD servers** only. Attempting otherwise will result in repeated responses from the Black Reaper, preventing you from completing Stage 2 or accessing Stage 3.
Arata Stage 3 in GHOUL://RE
The final Arata Stage also involves "The Scalpel Guy," fragments, and a significant amount of cash. You must remain in **PD mode** to progress.
Once you've collected a **single one-eyed Kakuja fragment** and **500,000 Yen**, revisit **Black Reaper of Doom And Despair** in the C.C.G. building. Pay him the money, and he'll teleport you to face the **Kishou Arima boss**.

To defeat Kishou Arima, you'll need at least average gaming skills. Expect to jump, dodge, block, and deal high damage. While challenging, Kishou Arima is not unbeatable; with practice, even intermediate players can succeed.
Be prepared for potential deaths during this fight. Stock up on resources, as each retry requires an **additional one-eyed Kakuja fragment** and another **500,000 Yen**. Upon defeating Kishou Arima, you'll unlock Stage 3 Arata-Proto armor. However, be mindful that while Arata offers powerful buffs and protection, it severely impacts your body, as detailed below.
Arata Armor Tips & Tricks
**Arata-Proto Armor Buffs**
Arata is an exceptionally powerful armor, but it **drains your hunger** rapidly while worn. You cannot eat while wearing Arata in any stage, so you'll need to remove it to replenish your hunger levels.
Despite this, the armor's benefits are substantial. It prevents you from being **ragdolled**, a significant advantage in all scenarios. Additionally, Arata enhances your equipment, making your character increasingly **"tanky"** and capable of sustaining and dealing immense damage. If the armor depletes your hunger during a fight, it will start consuming your **health bar**. Be cautious, especially during boss fights, and remember you can take it off to heal when necessary.

**Reputation Grinding**
The most efficient way to amass the required Reputation is by fighting bosses in **PD mode**. While risky, each boss defeated in PD mode grants **1,500 Reputation**, significantly more than the **500** you earn outside of PD. Killing Ghouls yields only **100 Reputation** per kill, making them less viable for grinding during Arata quests.
