Starting a new game can be a guessing game. You might think you know what you want, but as you dive deeper into *Avowed*, you might find that your initial choice isn't quite hitting the mark. That's where respecing shines. Maybe you started as a full-fledged wizard, only to realize the battlefield demands a more balanced spellsword. Or perhaps, as you progress, you want to fine-tune your build for maximum efficiency. Respecing allows you to experiment and evolve your character until you find the perfect fit.

How to Respec Your Abilities in Avowed

To tweak your abilities in Avowed, head to the menu and select the “Abilities” section. Scroll to the bottom, and you'll find the “Reset Points” option. The starting cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, which increases as you level up. Click the button, confirm your choice, and pay the listed amount. This action will reset all your ability points across the skill trees, with the exception of the “Godlike” abilities, which are locked to specific in-game decisions.

If you're happy with your abilities but want to adjust your attributes, or if you're looking to overhaul your entire build, you can do so in the “Character” section of the menu. At the bottom, under the attribute names, you'll see a button to reset your points. The initial cost here is also 100 Copper Skeyt, and it will increase as you progress. Press the button, pay the cost, and enjoy the freedom to redistribute your Attribute points as you see fit.

How to Respec Your Companion in Avowed

Want to tailor your companions' abilities as well? Navigate to the menu, go to the Abilities section, and switch to the “Companions” tab. Under your companion's name, you'll see an icon that, when clicked, allows you to respec their skills for a fee in Copper Skeyt. Confirm your choice, and you'll have all their points back to redistribute. Remember, you'll need to respec each companion individually.

And there you have it—the complete guide to respecing in *Avowed*. Whether you're looking to switch up your playstyle, optimize your build, or just experiment with different combinations, *Avowed* gives you the tools to make your character truly yours.
