Avowed Celebrates Strong Launch with New Trailer and Major Update

Just a month after its debut—including its Game Pass release—Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have dropped a celebratory trailer for Avowed. The video compiles glowing press reviews and critic quotes, showcasing the action-RPG's warm reception.

The new patch introduces DLSS 4 support with groundbreaking features like Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. NVIDIA's benchmarks reveal astonishing performance gains—up to 3x faster framerates at 4K max settings, hitting 340 FPS. Developers also hinted at upcoming announcements about long-term support and future content plans.

Game-Changing Improvements Beyond Graphics

This update transcends technical upgrades with meaningful gameplay enhancements. Players now gain bonus talent points every five levels, with existing characters automatically receiving owed points upon loading saves. Keyboard users get walk/run toggle functionality, while a new accessibility option boosts text size for in-game documents and guides.

While reviews weren't universally flawless, Avowed earned substantial critical praise. Digital Foundry notably crowned it a technical "masterclass," cementing Obsidian's latest as a must-play RPG experience.

The developers continue refining the experience, with more content announcements expected soon. Avowed is available now on Xbox Series X/S, Windows PC, and via Xbox Game Pass.
