Avowed: Post-Game Content Revealed

Author : George Mar 13,2025

While *Avowed*'s Living Lands feel vast, the main quest surprisingly concludes rather quickly. If you're craving more after the credits roll, here's what awaits:

Does *Avowed* Have New Game Plus?

Many RPG fans relish replaying the main quest on higher difficulties, leveraging acquired skills and gear. Unfortunately, Avowed currently lacks a New Game Plus mode at launch. However, given player demand, Obsidian may add this feature via future updates or DLC.

Even without New Game Plus, replayability exists. Avowed's branching narrative and diverse character builds offer compelling reasons for a fresh playthrough. Experiment with different choices to uncover varied endings and character arcs.

Does *Avowed* Have Endgame Content?

Avowed features four main regions, a secret final area, and a return to a major city (details withheld to avoid spoilers). These areas provide a challenging endgame experience, requiring Legendary-quality weapons and gear. However, this challenge doesn't extend to previously explored regions, and no new areas unlock post-credits. This means you can't revisit the Living Lands as shaped by your choices.

What You Can Do After Beating *Avowed*

Avowed's post-game content is limited by the absence of New Game Plus and endgame activities. Upon completing the final encounter, you'll witness several minutes of cutscenes detailing the consequences of your decisions. Afterwards, you're returned to the main menu.

From the main menu, you can start a new game or reload a previous save. Autosaves should exist before the point of no return and the final encounter, allowing you to replay sections and explore different narrative outcomes.

Reloading to a point before the point of no return also lets you revisit earlier regions. This offers the opportunity to complete side quests, collect missed items, and mop up any remaining achievements. Crucially, enemies in these earlier regions won't scale to your level, making for a significantly easier, and potentially more fun, experience with your upgraded gear.

That's the post-game experience in Avowed.

Avowed is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.
