Black Myth: Wukong Creators Accused of "Laziness and Lies"

Game Science's CEO, Feng Ji, attributed the absence of a Black Myth: Wukong Xbox Series S release to the console's limited 10GB RAM (8GB usable after system allocation). He cited the significant optimization challenges this presents, requiring extensive expertise.

However, this explanation has been met with considerable player skepticism. Many suspect an exclusive deal with Sony is the true reason, while others criticize the developers for apparent laziness, highlighting successful Series S ports of graphically demanding games.

A key question raised is why the Series S limitations are only now being cited, years after the game's 2020 announcement, which predates the console's release.

Player reactions include accusations of developer laziness, inconsistencies with past statements (particularly regarding the TGA 2023 Xbox release date announcement), and comparisons to other high-fidelity games successfully ported to the Series S, such as Indiana Jones, Starfield, and Hellblade 2. The lack of a definitive answer regarding an Xbox Series X|S release further fuels the controversy. In short, the explanation offered by Game Science has failed to quell widespread doubt among gamers.
