ATHENA: Blood Twins is a dark fantasy action-RPG that immerses players in a war-ravaged world dominated by gods, demons, and the cursed bloodline of twin siblings. Set in a mythological universe fractured by treachery and upheaval, the game explores the fates of two siblings connected by destiny and primordial power. Beyond its deep class mechanics, the game introduces a compelling hero progression system where players can develop their recruited warriors to strengthen their combat prowess. Let's explore this system in depth!
Heroes
Heroes function as deployable allies in battle, much like companions in other RPGs. Each hero boasts distinctive active and passive skills. If you've played hero-collector or idle games before, this mechanic will feel familiar. Heroes are categorized by rarity, with 2-star being the most common and 5-star being the most elite. Duplicate heroes can be used to upgrade a lower-rarity hero's star rank. Additionally, heroes can be strengthened through level-ups, level cap increases, and ascension enhancements.
Hero Reset
The hero reset function allows players to reclaim all resources invested in a specific hero. Before resetting, the hero must be unlocked and removed from any active battle squads. Resetting returns the hero to level 1 and ascension level 0 while refunding all previously spent upgrade materials. This provides a risk-free way to reallocate resources when better heroes become available. If you find yourself wanting to replace a current hero but lack resources for the new one, simply reset the old hero and reinvest the recovered materials.
