Author : Hannah Mar 26,2025

In Ivy Road and Annapurna Interactive's Wanderstop, players step into the shoes of Alta, a weary warrior seeking solace and recovery in the serene environment of a magical forest tea shop. As Alta, players cater to a diverse clientele, some of whom request coffee, despite it not being a standard menu item. Here's a detailed guide on how to unlock and brew coffee in Wanderstop.

In the fourth cycle of Wanderstop, a striking, humanoid bird visits the tea shop, seeking a sophisticated cup of tea. Following this, a trio of businessmen named Jerry, Larry, and Terry, all dressed in suits and carrying briefcases, arrive. They are en route to a boardroom for a presentation but find themselves at the tea shop instead. Despite Alta's efforts to redirect them, they decline her offer of tea, insisting on coffee. Their decision to wait for coffee at the shop sets the stage for a new challenge.

Initially, Boro, the tea shop owner, explains that coffee has never grown in the forest, leaving Alta frustrated. The situation shifts with the arrival of Zenith, an interdimensional being fascinated by the businessmen. Unlike them, Zenith is open to trying tea, which marks the beginning of a new journey towards introducing coffee to the shop.

To unlock coffee beans, players must serve Zenith a cup of tea infused with a valuable item. This can range from a book to a trinket, a pot, a mug, a small plant, or even a photograph. After tasting this unique tea, Zenith, intrigued by the difference between coffee and tea, asks Alta about the ingredients needed for coffee. Alta's mention of "coffee beans" prompts Zenith to use the Infinite Path to summon coffee beans to the forest, allowing them to grow in the clearing for the first time. Zenith also provides instructions on harvesting and brewing in Alta's Field Guide.

How to Harvest and Brew Coffee in Wanderstop

Once coffee beans start growing in the clearing, players can harvest them similarly to fruits and seeds. These beans can be stored in the ingredients pocket, carried individually, or placed on various surfaces around the shop. However, they must be cleaned before brewing, using the dishwasher and waiting for them to be transported to the tea room via dish trains.

To brew coffee, players pour water into the tea maker, heat it as needed, and then activate the gear to pour the water over the infuser. Only one bean is required to brew a basic cup of coffee, though additional beans or other ingredients can be used based on customer requests. After brewing, kick the gear to pour the coffee into the kettle and then serve it in mugs to customers, Boro, or Alta.

Introducing coffee not only satisfies the businessmen but also delights Zenith and provides a new beverage option for other customers. Even Boro, though not a fan, is willing to give it a try.

This is how you unlock, harvest, and brew coffee in Wanderstop, enhancing the cozy experience of managing the tea shop in the magical forest.

Wanderstop is available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam.
