Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Dev Adds New Challenge Tracking Tool

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to Add In-Game Challenge Tracking

Treyarch Studios has confirmed development of an in-game challenge tracker for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, addressing a significant player concern. This feature, present in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, was notably absent from Black Ops 6's initial release, disappointing many fans.

While a release date remains unannounced, the upcoming Season 2 update later this month hints at a potentially swift arrival.

Recent Black Ops 6 Update & Community Feedback:

A January 9th update brought various improvements, including Multiplayer and Zombies bug fixes, and a Multiplayer XP boost for the Red Light, Green Light mode. Crucially, Treyarch reversed a controversial Zombies change from January 3rd, removing extended round times and spawning delays in Directed Mode, following player feedback.

Challenge Tracking Feature Confirmed:

Treyarch's Twitter response to a fan inquiry confirmed the challenge tracker is "currently in the works." This functionality, popular in Modern Warfare 3, will significantly enhance gameplay, particularly for players pursuing Mastery camos. The in-game tracker is expected to function similarly to Modern Warfare 3's system, providing real-time progress updates on selected challenges without requiring match completion.

Additional Improvements on the Horizon:

Treyarch also confirmed another highly requested feature is under development: separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies. This will allow players to customize their HUD for each mode without constant adjustments.

The addition of both challenge tracking and separate HUD settings demonstrates Treyarch's commitment to enhancing the Black Ops 6 experience based on player feedback. The upcoming Season 2 update promises exciting changes for players.
