Clash of Clans to Remove Troop Training Times in Major Update

Author : Audrey Apr 03,2025

Clash of Clans, a cornerstone of mobile gaming history, is about to undergo a significant transformation that will undoubtedly reshape the way fans engage with the game. Supercell has been actively modernizing this beloved title over the years, and the latest update promises to be one of the most impactful yet. The complete removal of troop, spell, and siege unit training times is on the horizon, allowing players to deploy their armies almost instantly and dive into battles with unprecedented speed.

Following the elimination of training costs in 2022, the removal of training times marks another major milestone in Clash of Clans' evolution. As of today, Training Potions and Training Treats will no longer be available through in-app purchases or chest rewards. However, you can still find them in the Trader and Gold Pass for the time being. It's crucial to use these items before the end of the month, as they will be converted to Gems thereafter.

Training DayTo help players adapt to this new dynamic, Supercell is introducing a feature called "Match Anytime." This mechanic allows you to attack a snapshot of another player's base when no real opponents are available. You'll still earn rewards, but players whose bases are used won't lose anything if defeated. This system, already in use for Clan Wars and Legend League attacks, will now become a standard feature.

Be on the lookout for additional changes, such as Army Donations now requiring Elixirs or Dark Elixirs. For a comprehensive overview of these updates and more, be sure to visit the Supercell blog.
