Defeating Faithwight Magileto in Metaphor: ReFantazio: Strategies Revealed

Quick Links

In the world of Metaphor: ReFantazio, dungeons are home to formidable foes that serve as mini-bosses, challenging players even as they grind for XP. These enemies often appear as red markers on the overworld Fairy Sight, indicating a tough Squad combat encounter. Among these, the Faithwight Magileto found in the Spire Of Blind Faith stands out as a particularly daunting adversary, demanding a near-perfect strategy and a bit of luck to overcome.

The Faithwight Magileto is a level 50 enemy with the ability to summon additional level 50 foes, making it advisable to confront them only when your party is at least level 45. They wield potent dark and light magic spells that can target individuals or the entire party, including the devastating Megidolaon, which inflicts massive damage across the board. Additionally, they benefit from passive buffs that enhance the damage of dark, light, and electric attacks. The Faithwight Magileto can use Soul Scream to gain four Press Turn icons in a single turn, and they can summon skeletal minions to bolster their forces.

These summoned skeletons bring powerful slashing attacks and dark magic to the fray, along with a significant buff and a top-tier healing spell capable of restoring the Faithwight Magileto to full health. Notably, these minions are also vulnerable to Strike attacks, making this the key to victory.

How To Beat Faithwight Magileto In Metaphor: ReFantazio

Conquering the Faithwight Magileto is a formidable challenge, even at level 50, and nearly unfeasible at lower levels. To enhance your chances, consider the following preparations:

  • Acquire Dark Dodge from the Magic Knight to mitigate dark magic damage.
  • Obtain Light Dodge from the Healer Archetype to reduce light magic damage.
  • Inherit Strike skills from the Brawler Archetype to exploit the enemy's weakness.
  • Utilize the Warlock Archetype, which resists both Dark and Light damage.
  • Employ the Thief Archetype, which resists Dark damage.
  • Carry Tetrabreak to counter any summoned enemy using Tetrakarn.

While the specific Archetypes you select are less critical than ensuring you cover the above points and avoid weaknesses to Dark, Light, or Slash, leveraging Skill Inheritance from various unlocked Archetypes can be beneficial, especially those focused on Strength. Ensure at least two party members have access to party-wide healing spells, and equip everyone with a Strike Attack to maximize Press Turn Icons and manage health recovery effectively.

Success in this battle involves an element of luck, particularly in surviving consecutive Megidolaons. Equipping most of your party with Dark and Light dodge skills can help terminate the enemy's turn more quickly. If the Faithwight Magileto summons allies, prioritize eliminating them swiftly before they can heal the main foe. The Dekaja skill can be invaluable for dispelling buffs on summoned enemies. Your strategy should aim to execute at least six Strike attacks and two party-wide healing spells each turn.
