Author : Joshua May 18,2025

Following the exciting reveal of their new project, Project C4, ZA/UM has now announced the development of an official mobile version of the acclaimed game, Disco Elysium. This version will be exclusively available on Android devices, aiming to expand the game's reach to new audiences while providing a convenient, on-the-go experience for existing fans.

To make the game accessible, ZA/UM plans to offer the first two chapters of Disco Elysium for free on mobile. Players interested in continuing their journey can unlock the full game with a one-time payment, ensuring an ad-free experience. ZA/UM emphasized their commitment to allowing players to make well-informed purchasing decisions, reflecting their dual role as creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium intellectual property.

Studio head Denis Havel shared that the mobile version of Disco Elysium is designed to appeal to the TikTok audience, offering quick bursts of engaging story, art, and audio to create a new, deeply immersive form of entertainment.

Alongside the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and screenshots showcasing new, 360-degree scenes tailored to immerse mobile users directly into the world of Revachol. The game also boasts brand-new audio with full voiceover, enhancing the character-driven experience.

According to the official description, this mobile version is a complete re-imagination of the award-winning, psychological RPG Disco Elysium, optimized for short play sessions. This allows players to engage with the story-rich adventure anytime and anywhere on their mobile devices.

Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as "what audiobooks wish they were," designed to be enjoyed in brief intervals.

Disco Elysium is set to launch on mobile via Google Android in the summer of 2025.

It's important to note that although the studio retains the same name, many of the key individuals involved in the original Disco Elysium have departed from ZA/UM. Numerous former members are now working on spiritual successors to the game.
