Dragon Quest X Offline is coming to Japanese mobile devices! This single-player version of the popular MMORPG will be available tomorrow on iOS and Android for a premium price. Japanese fans can enjoy the offline functionality at a discounted rate.
The original Dragon Quest X, released in 2012, was a Japan-only release. This offline version, launched in 2022 for consoles and PC, offers a unique experience with real-time combat, a departure from the series' typical gameplay. Interestingly, a mobile port was initially planned as far back as 2013 by Ubitu.
A Mobile-Only Affair (For Now)
Unfortunately, there's currently no news regarding a global release for the mobile version of Dragon Quest X Offline. While a worldwide launch isn't impossible, it remains uncertain. This is disappointing news for many international fans, including myself, who have fond memories of the series (particularly Sentinels of the Starry Skies).
