Nightreign Unveils 6th Class: Ironeye
A Lethal Ranged Sniper
Elden Ring: Nightreign introduces the Ironeye, a new class focused on ranged combat, ahead of its May release. This sniper class emphasizes speed and agility, bringing a fresh perspective to gameplay. The character trailer highlights its unique abilities, showcasing the use of a large bow and arrow set-up, alongside the capability to scale walls for strategic mid-air strikes. The Ironeye also features an innovative aiming system designed to facilitate headshots, demonstrated impressively with a riposte move directly to an enemy's heart using a bow and arrow.During the Nightreign closed network test in February, players had the opportunity to experience four of the eight available classes: the versatile Wylder, the sturdy Guardian, the agile Duchess, and the mystical Recluse. With the Ironeye marking the sixth class, anticipation grows as FromSoftware is expected to reveal the remaining two classes soon, given the upcoming release next month.
The introduction of quality-of-life enhancements, like the new aiming system, has sparked hope among fans that similar improvements could be implemented in the original Elden Ring, potentially revitalizing the appeal of bows as primary weapons. Previously, as discussions on platforms like Reddit indicate, bows were often overlooked in favor of melee weapons due to their perceived effectiveness in the original game. The revamped sniper class in Nightreign could encourage more players to explore ranged builds.
Elden Ring: Nightreign, a standalone adventure set within the Elden Ring universe, is scheduled for release on May 30th, 2025. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S for $39.99. For further details on the game, visit Game8’s comprehensive article below!
